Sustainability Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a Sustainability Manager with strong environmental consultancy experience to deliver energy and sustainability services to clients and support internal sustainability objectives. The role has a strong focus on ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) compliance, energy audits, and carbon reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver ESOS compliance projects, including energy audits, reporting, and client advice
- Act as (or support) an ESOS Lead Assessor
- Deliver sustainability consultancy services, including carbon footprinting and decarbonisation strategies
- Deliver Energy and Sustainability Statements
- Support SECR, ISO 50001, and wider ESG requirements
- Manage client projects, produce high-quality reports, and present clear recommendations
- Contribute to our internal sustainability and ESG initiatives
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience in environmental or sustainability consultancy
- Proven ESOS delivery experience
- Strong understanding of UK energy and carbon regulations
- Excellent analytical, report writing, and client-facing skills
- Experience developing Net Zero and decarbonisation strategies
- Strong understanding of UK sustainability standards, regulations, and planning requirements
Desirable:
- ESOS Lead Assessor qualification
- Experience with carbon accounting and net zero strategies
- Proven experience delivering BREEAM assessments
- Strong life cycle assessment (LCA) experience, ideally using One Click LCA
Qualifications
- Degree in sustainability, energy, environmental science, or similar
- Professional membership (IEMA, EI, or similar) desirable
